Denver Nuggets cornerback Nikola Jokic of Serbia was named the NBA MVP for the third time in four seasons Wednesday.
The 29-year-old Serb star, who finished second in the 2023 vote before leading the Nuggets to the league title, was awarded the award for the third time after 2021 and 2022.
This season, he averaged 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds and nine assists during the regular season, and outscored Oklahoma City Thunder's Canadian star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic in the final vote for the award
